ABOUT BEST IN BUILD
The Best in Build Awards are a re-imagining of an awards system and gala ceremony designed to celebrate excellence and best practice in the building industry. They are primarily an industry facing event, designed for the sector, that will naturally generate profile for, and good news stories about it, to a wider audience.
This revitalised event will bring new energy to the sector, recognising the people, products, and partnerships driving progress and innovation across Aotearoa New Zealand's construction industry.
With a comprehensive suite of award categories, Best In Build will recognise achievement across emerging talent, innovation, sustainability, and service excellence. Each year, an outstanding individual will be honoured for a significant contribution to the industry over a career.
A newly designed judging framework will ensure transparency, rigour, and relevance, with a clear focus on real impact and meaningful performance.
Best in Build is more than a night of recognition, it's a celebration of the Building industry, creating profile and a focus for celebration for the companies and individuals who are the driving forces behind our sector. In addition a Best In Build winner or finalist earns the right to use the BIB qualmark logo to promote their goods and services relating to the recognition.
Co-founded by the Building Industry Federation of New Zealand (BIF NZ), the peak body for the building industry supply chain and leading event management company janda Productions.

ABOUT BIF NZ
The Building Industry Federation of New Zealand (BIF NZ) is the peak industry body representing New Zealand’s building industry supply chain. Established in 2001, and celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026, BIF NZ is an independent, industry-neutral organisation whose members include manufacturers, importers, distributors, merchants, construction and housing companies, and the legal, financial and professional service providers that support the sector.
BIF NZ shapes building policy and regulation at local and central government level, connects the sector through its Building Leaders Forum series and industry events, and champions standards, innovation and best practice across the supply chain.

ABOUT janda PRODUCTIONS
janda Productions is an event agency specialising in premium event concepts and production, with over 20 years of experience delivering small to large-scale, high profile events of national and regional significance.
janda project managed and produced the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards for fifteen years, owns and administrates the New Zealand Screen Awards (formerly the New Zealand Television Awards) and has been responsible for the project management and delivery of the Deloitte Top 200 Awards for the last seven years. Most recently janda redefined charity fundraisers in New Zealand by devising and delivering the Star Gala for Starship Foundation, raising over $3.6 million for child cancer care in New Zealand.
janda also works with a range of organisations and companies on a variety of events, from brand activations, concerts and gala dinners, through to conferences, AGMs' and VIP Hosting.
